👾🎮 Game Programmer

Role Overview:
We're seeking talented Game Programmers to join the Pack and work on developing our debut project, World Soul. In this role, you'll take on the challenge of being a gameplay architect in collaboration with our Design & Engineering team, where you'll have the chance to explore areas of development you're passionate about. Whether you want to master character controllers, build immersive world interactions or refine the AI behind our player companions, you’ll have the autonomy to make your mark on World Soul.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate directly with the Engineering team to architect, develop, and polish core gameplay mechanics into a highly tactile and playable experience.

  • Work directly with cross-functional asset owners, across Design, Art, and Engineering to integrate features quickly and efficiently.

  • Write clean, optimized, and well-documented C++ code to maintain game performance, stability, and scalability.

  • Help us find the "fun" by driving rapid prototyping, participating in playtesting, and conducting technical investigations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven gameplay programming experience using Unreal Engine 5 (or UE4) is preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in C++: You must be highly capable of writing and optimizing C++ logic within the Unreal Engine ecosystem (please note: due to performance requirements, "Blueprints-only" candidates will not be considered for this role).

  • Deep familiarity with modern Unreal Engine pipelines, workflows, and architecture.

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first mindset, with the proactive ability to reach out directly to relevant disciplines to solve problems.

  • Comfortable working collaboratively in iterative, fast-paced environments (Agile/Scrum).

‼️ Please note: All applicants for this position must include a link to a portfolio or GitHub repository showcasing gameplay-focused systems for review by the Pack leads. Applications without this requirement will not be considered.
