🧑🎨 3D CHARACTER ANIMATOR
TEAM: ART/DEV
Role Overview:
We're seeking a passionate 3D Character Animator to bring the diverse characters of 'World Soul' to life through rigging and animation within Unreal Engine 5. This volunteer role is perfect for building your portfolio with unique character work on a significant UE5 project..
Responsibilities:
• Rig 3D character models (bipeds, potentially hybrids) for animation.• Create high-quality keyframe animations (locomotion, combat, idles, emotes).
• Implement and refine animations in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprints and animation systems (State Machines, Blendspaces, etc.).
• Collaborate with modelers, designers, and programmers on animation needs.
• Iterate based on team feedback and playtesting.
Required Skills & Experience:
• Demonstrable experience in 3D character rigging and animation (portfolio required).
• Solid grasp of animation principles (timing, weight, etc.).
• Experience with standard 3D animation software (Blender, Maya, etc.).• Experience importing and implementing animations in Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5).
• Strong communication and ability to work remotely/independently.• Passion for RPGs.
Bonus:
• Experience animating non-standard creatures/quadrupeds.
• Familiarity with UE5 animation tools (Control Rig, Full Body IK, Motion Warping).
• Facial rigging/animation experience.
• Understanding of animation optimization.
🖥️🛠️ UI DEVELOPER
TEAM: DEVELOPMENT & PROGRAMMING
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a UI Developer to create intuitive, player-friendly interfaces that make complex systems accessible and engaging.
Responsibilities:
- Build and implement game-ready UI elements (HUD, menus, inventory, quest logs, etc.).
- Collaborate with UX designers and system developers to ensure smooth integration.
- Use Unreal Engine’s UMG/Slate framework to design and animate UI
- Script UI behavior using Blueprints (C++ knowledge a strong bonus).
- Optimize UI for clarity, responsiveness, and performance.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Unreal Engine’s UMG/Slate for UI design and scripting.
- Familiarity with UMG Animation and Sequencing.
-Proficiency with Blueprint scripting for UI (C++ knowledge is a plus, not required).Understanding of UI/UX principles for games.
Bonus:
-Experience with Figma or other prototyping tools.
🧑🎨 ART PRODUCER
TEAM: ART
Role Overview:
As an Art Producer at WolfPack, you'll coordinate cross-functional art teams, ensure milestone deliverables are met, and act as a liaison between creative and technical departments. Your role is to remove roadblocks, maintain schedules, and keep our visual output at peak quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Drive scheduling and production planning for internal and external art teams.
- Track asset pipelines and ensure timely delivery of 2D, 3D, VFX, and animation components.
- Maintain documentation and update project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ShotGrid).
- Communicate production goals and priorities clearly to team members
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate outsource quality
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years experience in art development or digital content production.
- Strong understanding of art workflows and pipelines.
- Proficiency in production tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Excel, Miro).
- Strong communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience managing cross-discipline teams in a game environment.
Bonus:
- Background in art or technical art.
- Experience coordinating with international outsource partners.
🎨 3D CHARACTER ARTIST
TEAM: ART
Role Overview:
WolfPack is seeking a skilled 3D Character Artist to bring our characters to life. You’ll be responsible for modeling, sculpting, and texturing high-quality character assets that align with our visual direction and gameplay needs. This role requires a strong artistic eye and deep understanding of anatomy, silhouette, and production pipelines.
Responsibilities:
- Create high- and low-poly 3D character models, UV maps, and textures.
- Work closely with concept artists and animators to ensure assets meet gameplay and visual standards.
- Optimize characters for performance across target platforms.
- Implement characters in-engine (Unreal) with appropriate materials and shaders.
- Provide feedback and maintain documentation for outsource character work.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a 3D character artist; or equal exp. accepted.
- Strong portfolio showcasing stylized or realistic characters.
- Proficiency with Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, and Photoshop.
- Experience with rigging/skin weighting basics.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine character pipelines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus:
- Experience working with photogrammetry or character customization systems.
- Passion for post apocalyptic future type genres.
